LEKI USA Divests Canadian Distributorship to AMH Sports, Inc.02.14.11
Buffalo, NY – Dec. 31, 2010 - LEKI USA announced today they will officially turn over management of the company’s Canadian business to independent distributor AMH Sports, Inc. of Montreal beginning January 1, 2011. AMH Sports, led by long-standing LEKI sales rep Michel Hébert, will handle all aspects of LEKI’s Canadian sales and servicing.
LEKI signs contract with Lindsey Vonn through Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics

BUFFALO, NY – October 28, 2010 - LEKI announced today they have inked an athlete sponsorship agreement with two-time Olympic Medalist and three-time World Champion Lindsey Vonn to last through the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. The four-year contract guarantees Vonn will train and compete exclusively with LEKI poles and gate guards. LEKI is also an official supplier to the US Ski Team.
Vonn races with LEKI’s revolutionary Trigger S grip system, the first “ski pole binding” system in the world. Trigger S is an integrated quick release security system where the connection between the grip and strap or the grip and glove is reduced to a ring shaped loop made from Dyneema®, a gel-spun polyester known for its strength and use in parachute cords and marine racing. Skiers literally click in and out of the grip with one simple hand movement.
“Lindsey is one of the most dominant and exciting ski racers in the world today. We are thrilled to have LEKI play a part in her goals and accomplishments over the next four years,” said Greg Wozer, Vice President of LEKI USA.
Bode Miller re-signs with Leki through Sochi 2014

Five-time Olympic Medalist and two-time World Champion Bode Miller has re-signed an athlete sponsorship agreement with Leki to last through the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Leki has sponsored Miller for the last four years and they are also an official supplier to the US Ski Team.

LEKI continues to dominate ski racing competition, with Olympic athletes who use the company’s high performance ski poles winning a total of 27 medals, including 10 gold medals, in Alpine and Nordic events at the recent 2010 Winter Games. With a total of 33 medals available in Alpine events alone, athletes who skied with LEKI poles won 16 of those medals, almost half of the total amount.
