Rebensburg just missed Gold
After a great first run, Viktoria Rebensburg (GER) leaded in Giant Slalom. In her second run, on a heavily used track, the Olympic champion of 2010 missed first place by only 0.14 seconds.
For many, Mikaela Shiffrin was the favorite to win gold. But after the first run, the American was "only" in 4th place, 0.44 seconds behind Rebensburg. In the second run, the 23-year-old drove to third place and secured bronze.
Tessa Worley (FRA), Sara Hector (SWE), Coralie Frasse Sombet (FRA) and Andrea Ellenberger (SUI) ranked 6th to 10th.
