RESOURCES, RECYCLING & THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY


The responsible use of resources is central to a sustainable product strategy. That is why LEKI consistently adheres to the principles of the circular economy, with the aim of keeping materials in the cycle of use for as long as possible and reducing waste to a minimum.

CONSERVING RESOURCES, PREVENTING WASTE


By promoting closed-loop material cycles, LEKI makes an active contribution to waste prevention and securing raw materials. These are two crucial factors in the face of globally limited resources. Materials are used efficiently, recycled and, wherever possible, returned to the production process.

WINTRUST


LEKI is actively involved in the WINTRUST project, which aims to integrate end-of-life winter sports equipment such as skis, ski boots, Poles and helmets into a sustainable recycling loop. The aim is to conserve resources and reduce mountains of waste. It is interesting to note that: Whilst products such as skis and ski boots are returned in large quantities, poles have so far accounted for only around 4 per cent of the total volume – equivalent to just a few hundred kilograms. This highlights the exceptional durability of LEKI-Stöcken and reaffirms our commitment to sustainable product design.
