Finding the right glove size

To help you choose the right size when purchasing, LEKI provides a handy glove size guide. UTo determine your hand circumference and thus your individual glove size, all you need is a measuring tape. Alternatively, you can also use a piece of string.

1. Measuring the circumference of the hand

Take a tape measure and place it tightly around the widest part of your flat hand – just below your knuckles. Leave your thumb out. Then read the measured value.

If you are using a piece of string or thread instead of a tape measure, mark the measured length and then measure it with a ruler or folding rule.

Using our glove size chart, you can now easily determine your correct glove size and select the glove that fits you best.

Take a tape measure and place it tightly around your flat hand at the widest point – just below your knuckles. Leave your thumb out. Then read the measured value. If you are using a piece of string or cord instead of a tape measure, mark the measured length and then measure it with a ruler or folding rule.

The right fit

The right fit depends greatly on the intended use. Close-fitting gloves are particularly suitable for sporting and dynamic activities where a direct grip and high freedom of movement are important. They fit snugly on the hand, follow every movement and enable precise power transmission. This makes them feel like a second skin and ideal when control and fine motor skills are paramount.

Slightly larger gloves, mittens or lobster gloves, on the other hand, offer more comfort and are particularly suitable for longer use or cooler conditions. The extra space makes them more comfortable to wear and allows air to collect inside the glove, which has a positive effect on the feeling of warmth. This fit is ideal when comfort, warmth and a relaxed fit are more important than maximum precision.
