To ensure adequate protection, the impact protection must be securely attached to the poles. This product is designed to provide protection against low force contact caused by the FIS standardised race gates and slalom poles installed along the race course. In alpine racing, however, not all possible incidents and accidents that could have an effect on the impact protection and/or the human body can be ruled out, also due to the high speed of the skier or snowboarder in motion. After purchase, it is recommended not to use the protectors for longer than three years, as the materials can change their mechanical properties over time and impair the protective effect. Before and after each use, the protectors should not be exposed to sunlight or other sources of light and heat. Only water and non-aggressive soap may be used for external cleaning; solvents, petrol, lubricants or other chemical solvents must not come into contact with the protectors, as these can otherwise affect the structure and functionality of the protectors. Impact protection for alpine skiing complies with the provisions of Regulation EU 2016/425 on personal protective equipment for the intended area of use and has been tested in accordance with the requirements for Category II PPE.
