Three-piece telescopic poles with tube diameters of 18/16/14 mm (Strong line):
Very high stability – ideal for people over 180 cm tall, weighing more than 75 kg (incl. backpack) and/or with little experience or limited surefootedness in the mountains. -
Three-piece telescopic poles with tube diameters of 16/14/12 mm (Lite line):
High stability, lighter – suitable for people under 180 cm, weighing less than 75 kg (incl. backpack) and/or with more experience and surefootedness in the mountains. -
Folding poles (FX models):
Developed for users with experience in the mountains and high surefootedness. They stand out for their low weight and compact pack size.
Note: Three-piece models from the Strong or Lite line offer higher stability reserves.

Nordic Walking and Trekking/Hiking are two different sports with clearly distinct movement patterns and requirements. Therefore, the poles also differ significantly in their construction.
In Nordic Walking, our Shark grips support the backward/downward arm extension (“propulsion”), while in hiking the Aergon grips are designed for balance, support, and relief of muscles and joints. Other features such as tube diameter, basket, tip, and material are also specifically adapted to the respective discipline.
We therefore recommend using poles according to the sport. You can find our products and detailed descriptions directly in our online shop.
„Trigger“ stands for release and describes LEKI’s innovative grip–glove/strap system, where the glove or strap can be detached from the pole grip.
Due to the different requirements of the sports, there are two systems:

Trigger S & Trigger 3D → for alpine skiing
With these systems, the release mechanism can be activated when a certain pulling force and direction is applied (e.g. during a fall), thereby disconnecting the glove/strap from the grip.
Alternatively, you can detach the glove or strap manually by pressing the button on the grip. -
Trigger Shark → for Nordic disciplines such as cross-country skiing, roller skiing, Nordic Walking, CrossTrail, and trail running
Here, release occurs exclusively manually by pressing the button on the grip; mechanical release is not intended.
All Trigger systems were developed together with athletes and coaching teams and offer optimal power transmission, precise pole placement, excellent control, and high comfort.
Note: The alpine Trigger system is not compatible with the Nordic system.
Most of our trekking poles are made of high-strength aluminium shafts or carbon.
The aluminium shafts are hardened using a special process developed by LEKI. This gives our aluminium poles maximum stability and increased resistance to impacts. The balance of durability and performance makes them ideal for long hikes and high-alpine tours.
Carbon fibres are about 8 times thinner than a human hair and produced using a technologically complex process. Our carbon poles are extremely light and have high bending resistance. They are the right choice if you are looking for maximum performance and minimum weight.
The Dynamic Suspension System (DSS) is a vibration-absorbing damping system made of elastomer material. According to a study by the University of Tübingen, it reduces impact forces by around 40%, thereby relieving muscles, joints, and ligaments.
Note: The DSS tip must always be used with a basket.

Yes. Depending on age and condition, almost all poles can be repaired. Replacement sections for folding poles are also available and can be exchanged.

All items you wish to return must be in perfect condition. Start the return via our website and follow the instructions. Include the return form and attach the return label to your package. You can then drop off your parcel at a parcel shop.

Return policy
In addition to your legal right of withdrawal, LEKI grants you a voluntary free return right for items purchased in the LEKI online shop. You may return items within 30 days of receipt without giving reasons, provided the products are complete, unused, and undamaged.
Refund
Once your return arrives in our warehouse, we check the condition of the returned items. You will then receive an automatic refund to the payment method originally used. Depending on the payment method and bank, it may take up to 14 business days for the amount to appear in your account.
