Check your poles are working correctly before every use and get any damaged or defective parts replaced immediately by a specialist. You must not continue using faulty poles. Make sure that your poles are fully functional before and during use. Pole tips are used to give sports and walking poles a firm grip in the terrain. Any other use of the pole tips is not intended and therefore not permitted. Therefore, before using the pole tips, check that they are functioning properly and are intact. The functionality of the poles and tips may be impaired by dirt, wear and tear or damage.  Please note that the tips of the poles have sharp-edged functional areas and can lead to injuries or even death in extreme cases.
