Accessibility

At LEKI, inclusion, equal opportunities, and accessibility are at the heart of everything we do. Our goal is to ensure that all people – regardless of physical or cognitive limitations – can use our website and digital services easily, intuitively, and without barriers.

We do not see accessibility as a one-time measure, but as an ongoing process in which we regularly review and improve technical, content-related, and design aspects. By aligning with recognized standards (e.g., the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG), we want to ensure that our platform remains accessible to all users in the future.

For us, accessibility means more than just a legal obligation: it is an expression of our respect and responsibility towards a diverse society. That is why we continuously invest in optimizing our digital solutions and welcome feedback to identify and jointly remove existing barriers.

European Accessibility Act (EAA)

The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is an EU directive designed to ensure equal access to essential products and digital services. The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), which define international standards for user-friendly and accessible digital content, serve as the key framework. LEKI is actively working to fully comply with all WCAG requirements (Level AA).

Accessibility Measures

To improve accessibility and user experience, we have implemented the following measures where possible:

  • Simple and clear language – content is written in an understandable way, and technical terms are explained.

  • Clear structure – logical organization, consistent navigation, and clear orientation on all pages.

  • Readable typography – sufficiently large font size, sans-serif fonts, and optimized line spacing.

  • High color contrast – contrasts have been adjusted so that text and interactive elements are clearly visible even for people with visual impairments.

  • Controllable moving content – videos, animations, and GIFs can be paused, stopped, or resumed at any time.

  • Keyboard accessibility – most content and functions can be accessed using a keyboard. We are working to ensure full usability without a mouse and to gradually eliminate existing limitations.

  • Customization tools – an integrated toolbar allows users to adjust settings such as font size, contrast, or display according to their personal needs.

Limitations & Feedback

Despite all efforts, there may still be barriers in some areas. We are working to gradually reduce these barriers. If you encounter accessibility issues on our website or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us at: service@leki.de
